When I was a kid, I was fully Myself
When I was a kid, I was fully Myself.
Climbing the trees and building a house upon the branches.
Swinging the rope between the trees like Jane in Tarzan.
Playing football vigorously in the village as a goalkeeper.
When I was a kid, I wanted to create happiness.
Enthusiastically making a performance on every family occasion.
Acting and telling poems at the school theatre.
Dancing, singing, and wearing a zebra costume at a school event.
When I was a kid, I loved ice cream and sweet corn on the beach.
Sitting next to mom on the sand and hearing the sea waves.
Feeling the heat of the sand on the feet when running toward the sea.
Crying from happiness jumping from my grandad’s shoulders into the sea.
When I was a kid, I was happy to make new friends.
Being a bit shy, I was waiting someone in the playground would talk to me.
Staying alone for some time, I started making a first step myself.
Becoming more sociable, I got really good friends, my crew, my folks.
Being imaginative, creative and inquisitive.
Fearless and reckless from time to time.
Fearful of performing at the school events.
Feeling happy and euphoric after the performances.
Loving vanilla ice cream with wafer most of all.
Enjoying warmth and heat from the beach sand.
Feeling like a hero when jumping from height into the water.
Feeling strongly, fully, absolutely free to be myself.
When I was a kid, I was fully Myself.
