Light in young family hands offering

Big Thank you

Sometimes we feel that we cannot say Thank you,

As the heart is burning from frustration,

From difficult conversations, very difficult.

So difficult that we see no way out.

We might see no way to remain positive and smile.

And we love smiling, sincerely, openly.

But sometimes we cannot.

Sometimes we cannot say Thank you,

As the heart is burning from frustration.

Today I felt that I cannot say Thank you.

I cannot say Thank you to everything,

To every situation happening in life,

As it can be painful, it can be heart-breaking.

It can be disappointing, upsetting, discouraging,

And you feel like snowing down, slowly and then rapidly,

Touching the earth, its hard solid unbreakable surface.

And you feel that you cannot say Thank you,

As the surface hurts strongly, breaking you.

Today I thought that I cannot say Thank you,

Until I heard from one person: “Let’s talk and discuss it”,

“Don’t keep it inside, let’s talk and you will feel better”.

And I talked. I talked openly, sincerely, slowly and rapidly.

Talked about my feelings and emotions, about my pain.

I talked about the things that make me hurt,

Talked about the past, the present and the future,

I talked, talked, talked and talked, a lot…

And it helped.

Now I feel I would like to say Thank you,

Say Thank you for such warm, loving, caring words,

For understanding and accepting me the way I am.

Thank you for showing empathy and compassion,

When I was in pain, when I was not able to respond,

Was not able to smile openly, sincerely like I love.

Thank you for simply giving so much love and care,

Without judging, assessing and trying to change.

With full acceptance and understanding.

Now I feel that I would like to say Big Thank you.
